Pueblo Tannat

Located in the heart of Colonia Estrella, an area where wine culture is part of everyday life. We invite you to live the experience, discover our history, taste our wines, and pair them with unique local cuisine.

Our Story

In Colonia Estrella, just a few kilometers from Carmelo and very close to the Río de la Plata, the first immigrants planted vineyards at the end of the 19th century, giving rise to the winemaking tradition of the area. That legacy today inspires Pueblo Tannat, a first-generation winery dedicated to crafting wines that faithfully express the character of this terroir.

The project was born from the vision of Adrián Conde, owner of the restaurant El Quincho, who began by planting Tannat, Merlot, and Marselan to create his own wine. After successful results, in 2023 he inaugurated Pueblo Tannat winery on the same property as the restaurant, with modern facilities and an underground cellar for aging and tastings.

The winery produces young wines in Italian stainless steel tanks, a special line in Spanish clay amphorae, and premium wines aged in American and French oak barrels. It also explores new experiences such as crafting grappa from grape pomace and Tannat liqueurs.

Each Pueblo Tannat wine seeks to convey the essence of its vineyard, combining climate, soil, and human dedication, in a place where Carmelo breathes wine, breathes Tannat.
