Olivar Longo is a family-owned boutique olive mill dedicated to the artisanal production of extra virgin olive oils, recognized for its quality and commitment to rural tourism.
Our Story
The Longo family began their project in 2009 after acquiring land with olive groves in the department of Colonia, near Carmelo. The following year, they expanded the plantation, and in 2011 they produced their first oils, which soon received international recognition, such as the Prestigio de Oro at Olivinus and the Olivo de Oro at Cuyolivo. Since then, Almazara Longo has become a benchmark for premium olive oil in Uruguay, combining traditional techniques with modern technology.
In addition to production, they offer guided tours where visitors can walk through the olive groves, observe the cold extraction process, and participate in interactive tastings. Their philosophy focuses on authenticity, sustainability, and the sensory experience that connects visitors with the art of producing high-end extra virgin olive oil.
